Are we applying the same principles of environmental sustainability to people in the workplace?
This was the topic for a recent panel discussion put together by the Sustainable Business Alliance at the Hub Berkeley. The panelists included: Matt Bauer, President of BetterWorld Telecom, Jennifer Freitas, Human Resource Manager at Clif Bar, and Dr. Lori-Ann Gertonson, Founder of the Gertonson Institute, and were moderated by Marcel Allbritton.
Potentially, people are the most renewable and sustainable part of an organization. Among the discussion questions: How can companies create and maintain the physical, mental, and social well being of their employees? How does the well-being of workers impact business? What are the key principles for ensuring the sustainability of workers?
