At BetterWorld Telecom we donate a total of 3% of company revenues to our affiliates and charitable causes that benefit children, education, fair trade and the environment. To date, we've donated over $150,000 to such worthwhile organizations as these:
The Earth Policy Institute
The purpose of EPI is to provide a vision of what an environmentally sustainable economy will look like, a roadmap of how to get from here to there, and an ongoing assessment of this effort of where progress is being made and where it is not. Lester R. Brwon, founder and president of Earth Policy Institute, has been described by The Washington Post as "one of the world's most influential thinkers" and as "the guru of the global environmental movement" by The Telegraph of Calcutta.
Fight for Children
Fight For Children is committed to increasing the number of urban youth who are prepared for post secondary education and career opportunities. They do so by investing time, effort and resources in education and health care solutions that enable youth to reach their potential in school and in life.
The National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship
Through entrepreneurship education, NFTE helps young people from low-income communities build skills and unlock their entrepreneurial creativity. Since 1987, NFTE has reached over 100,000 young people, trained more than 3,200 Certified Entrepreneurship Teachers, and continually improved its innovative entrepreneurship curriculum.
The Fair Trade Federation
Fair Trade Federation (FTF) is an association of fair trade wholesalers, retailers and producers whose members are committed to providing fair wages and good employment opportunities to economically disadvantaged artisans and farmers.
